Canada Swim School — 20 Years in the Making.

Canada Swim School was founded in 2017 in Montreal, Canada, but the real story goes back to the summer of 1994 when Adam Di Fulvio and Marc Donatelli met when they were 10-years-old at the local pool in their suburb of Pierrefonds, Quebec. A lifelong friendship and passion for swimming was established at that pool.

Through coaching, swim instructing and lifeguarding, Adam and Marc have embraced the core values of creating an exceptional experience in the pool scene. From competitive water polo and swimming to working with amazing teams of lifeguards and coaches, they both enjoy sharing their commitment for the love of swimming. Adam and Marc embraced these values of swimming, and built them into the culture of their first swim school, the Montreal Institute of Swimming Institute (MIS).

Opened in 2009, the MIS is currently Montreal’s premier swim lesson organization and home to over 30 pools, 200 swim instructors, coaches and lifeguards, and thousands of clients. In 2011, Marc and Adam were honoured to welcome Kelly Hodgson to MIS’s administrative ranks. Kelly was coached by Adam & Marc back in their outdoor lifeguard days and went on to become a renowned competitive swimmer before joining MIS as their first swim instructor.

With their vast swimming lesson experience, Adam, Marc and Kelly developed a unique teaching method, a skillbased learning system adapted to one-on-one private swim lessons. In 2017, Adam, Marc and Kelly decided to expand their successful swim school, offering the benefits of Canada Swim School to children in neighbouring Canadian communities.
