Mohamed Attia is an accomplished and passionate swimmer, renowned for his competitive spirit and love for open-water races, including grueling 5k, 10k, and 15k challenges across the Mediterranean and Red Seas. His lifelong connection to water began at just 3 years old in 1999 in Egypt, where he first developed his strong foundation in swimming. His natural talent and dedication led him to continually improve his skills, both in competitive environments and in his quest to become a skilled swim instructor. Moving to Canada in 2011 marked a turning point in Mohamed’s career, as it opened new opportunities for him to share his knowledge and enthusiasm for swimming through teaching.

Mohamed’s approach to swimming instruction blends efficiency with enjoyment. He is committed to making lessons not only effective but also fun, fostering a positive learning environment where swimmers can progress at a faster pace while truly enjoying the process. His methods are designed to engage swimmers of all levels, whether they are beginners or advanced athletes, ensuring that everyone experiences the joys and benefits of swimming in a meaningful way.

Since joining Canada Swim School (CSS) in 2016, Mohamed has been a driving force behind the school’s remarkable growth and reputation. His role has been pivotal in transforming CSS into a premier swim lesson organization, known for its personalized, one-on-one instruction. With Mohamed’s leadership, CSS now operates across 6 pools, employs a dedicated team of 20 highly trained swim instructors, coaches, and lifeguards, and serves hundreds of clients who trust the school with their swimming education.

What sets Mohamed apart is his ability to develop a unique, skill-based learning system that is specifically adapted for private lessons. His vast experience and deep understanding of swimming mechanics have allowed him to craft an individualized approach to teaching that accelerates progress and skill retention. Canada Swim School instructors are all certified National Lifeguards and certified CSS Swim Instructors trained in pool safety, swim safety, and accident prevention. Low swimmer-to-teacher ratios and safety policies, enhanced by years of experience, ensure only the safest environment for our swimmers and families. We work closely with parents, coaches and partners to keep every pool safe and clean.
